February Update

Greetings from a hot and wet Zimbabwe! We thank God for your prayers and love sent in so many ways over Christmas and New Year 2023, we are blessed to have you on our Jabulani team! We celebrated Christmas with a braii and presents, I preached in our Church on Christmas morning and Esther sang a beautiful song “Mary did you Know” while all the small girls were in the Christmas Nativity play, they all did so well, and we are very proud of them.

The girls got new clothes and books and Joseph was pleased with his presents also, there is great excitement around Christmas at Jabulani and the children decorate the place and put up the Christmas tree etc. it’s a huge difference from most of Zimbabwe but we always celebrate our Lord to the best of our ability. You are part of that as you give gifts and money for gifts for the children, and we are very grateful.

Our children returned to school on Jan 12 and Grace is now in Form 3 while Blessing, Hope and Joseph are in Form 2, the time has flown and we are encouraging them to get serious about studying and working hard. The 6 small girls are all in Grade 6, we can’t believe it, it was only yesterday….

They are doing well and their teachers say they are working well and the great thing is that they love school and are fully involved in sports, clubs etc it’s wonderful to see them so happy. Please pray for them all as they sit exams this year in September and need good marks to progress to the next level.

All 5 small girls are in the cross country team, while Faith plays tennis and the big girls Netball and Joe soccer, all of them swim for the school team and are very competitive!

All of the high schoolers have made a profession of faith and are breaking bread with us at Church, they are in the Church youth group and attend another church’s youth group also, Hope sings in the choir and Grace is in the school debating team…its’s all go!

Thank you for your prayers and support, we truly could not do this on our own, the Lord is with us as are you and we praise Him for you all.

These are very busy days, the roads are dreadful and we covet your prayers for safety as we travel, all our staff at Jabulani are good and the Lord is with us. Kuda is in great form, we had her at the dentist and she didn’t bite the doctor’s fingers off! She is very much at peace these days praise God!

We need your help…

We are asking for your help once again. Our Jabulani main vehicle ( not our school bus)has been causing us lots of problems for a while now, it’s 23 years old now and has served us well, but after spending nearly $1000 in the past few weeks trying to keep it moving it has just about given up!

So we are now needing to replace our vehicle and have been looking around at good second-hand imports, which are scarce on the ground.

We have identified a Mazda CX5 as a good vehicle for us to do all the running around in, (shopping, doctor and dentist appointments, youth clubs, after-school sports pick-ups etc). We need a secure and safe car for protection on the road for Dorothy and the staff to drive. We believe this will be a great car for Jabulani!

The total cost with purchase, number plates and ownership papers is US$18,000 ...now that’s a lot of money! BUT God is able to help bring this to pass, so we are humbly asking if you would like to get involved in this project and help us turn JABULANI MOBILE!

Any help at all would be appreciated and we know God will bless you abundantly for helping us achieve this goal.

If you’d like to donate towards this, please just click the button below and I can send you details.

May the Lord bless you throughout the coming year.

In Christ Alone,

Alan and Dorothy
